ABOUT REBEL
Rebel graduated from Iowa State University in 2018, and while there she studied technical design as a performing arts major.
She enjoys working as a scenic painter and props assistant for the variety that those theatre roles have to offer. She loves organizing theatre spaces, making theatre kits for stage management and other departments, and helping out where she can.
She enjoys classical Greek and Roman plays, but loves working on all styles of theatre. Her favorite shows she has worked on have been Ipheginia and Kinky Boots.

SCENIC CHARGE - THE MOUNTAIN PLAYHOUSE
Responsible for organizing the paint area, applying paint to flats, floors, and furniture, and repairing seams on flats. Assisted with carpentry, design, and special projects. Worked closely with the design team to complete additional projects.

SCENIC & PROPS ARTIST - SAVANNAH REPERTORY THEATHRE
Responsible for building props list, attending meetings, working within a budget, and pulling items from stock. Worked closely with set designer to meet the artistic needs of the show, researched time period as necessary. Procured items for appropriate set dressing and finishes. Assisted with scenic design, and painting.

SCENIC CHARGE - THE ARTS CENTER OF COASTAL CAROLINA
Responsible for organizing the paint area, preparing the paint and cards for shows, maintaining a show budget, and completing all textures and finishes for the sets and floors. Also assisted with the props department and carpentry department for various projects.

PROPERTIES MANAGER, IOWA STAGE THEATRE COMPANY
Responsible for building props list, reading scripts, shopping, pulling from stock, building props, and attending meetings. Worked closely with design team, directors, and actors to discuss the needs of the show and maintain budgets. Collaborated via meetings and email.

CHARGE ARTIST, CEDAR RAPIDS OPERA COMPANY
Responsible for building aspects of the set and painting whole scenic elements. Mixed colors per the designer's renderings and color plots. Communicated with set designer and technical director about set needs. Assisted with loading the truck, and unloading/touch ups/reassembly for January performances.

PROPERTIES MASTER, IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY
As a student, worked with design team and faculty to assess show needs. Read scripts, built props lists, maintained budgets, and pulled, bought, or built props as necessary. Managed a team of properties assistants and other students. Worked to keep an organized, safe shop area.

BUILDING
Understanding of technical skills including: sewing, soldering, wood burning, model casting, upholstery, painting (scenic and watercolor/gouache), wallpaper, paper mache and other paper crafts, stencil making, foam carving, and basic carpentry.
TOOL PROFICIENCY
Ability to use shop equipment including table saws, chop saws, dremel tools, hand saws, sanders, impact drivers and drills, pneumatic staplers, and hand tools used commonly in a shop environment.
Able to use scenic artist tools, such as brushes, sponges, wood grain tools, and others for scenic painting.
Capable of hanging wallpaper and using wallpaper paste/rollers etc for scenic and home use.
